PC Laptops to the Rescue — Once Again

South Jordan-based PC Laptops made news yesterday by announcing they will offer lifetime service & support to all owners of PC Club machines [Disclosure: a Politis Communications client]. PC Club recently filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and as a result left its customers high and dry.

UTA to use “contactless” credit card pay system

LANDesk gets acquired for $416 mm

LANDesk said today that it has signed a definitive agreement to be acquired by Avocent Corporation (NASDAQ: AVCT) for $416 million.

Dolby to put 20 digital projectors in Larry H’s theaters

Dolby Laboratories, Inc., (NYSE:DLB) says it will outfit 20 of Larry H. Miller’s MEGAPLEX Theatre screens with Dolby Digital Cinema. Ten of the Dolby Digital Cinema systems will be installed in MEGAPLEX’s new multiplex, the MEGAPLEX 20 in South Jordan, which will celebrate its grand opening on May 19, 2006.
