ClearOne Communications (NASDAQ: CLRO) today released results from its second quarter for fiscal 2008 (ended 12/31/07), and it’s clear to see (no pun intended) that the company is solidly back on track. (Here’s a link to this morning’s announcement.)

TenFold (OTC BB: TENF) announced Wednesday that it is slashing its workforce by 40 percent, effective immediately, and that it may be forced to “terminate operations.”
According to the company news release about the layoffs, the company had expected to close “additional business” by the end of 2007, deals that were not signed.

James LeVoy Sorenson, billionaire biotech pioneer, died Sunday of prostate cancer. He was 86.
Sorenson’s influence on Utah’s biotech community began in 1957 when he co-founded Deseret Pharmaceutical. In 1962, a formed Sorenson Research, which he later sold to Abbott Laboratories.

DRAPER, Utah & SAN FRANCISCO — Draper, Utah-based AdvancedMD today announced it has been acquired by Francisco Partners, a private equity company with $5 billion under management.
